INTRODUCTION TO ZfdP

Welcome to the Zuchtverband fur deutsche Pferde (ZfdP) information for the first UK grading to take place on Saturday, 8th September, 2007 - or if the number of entries requires it - this may be extended to include Sunday, 9th September, 2007.

The "Zuchtverband fur deutsche Pferde - ZfdP" (Breeding Association for German Horses) was founded in 1974 and has been recognized by the German Horse
Federation (FN) since 1984.
ZfdP is the only Breeding Association registered in all countries of Germany and
taking care of nearly all horse breeds bred in Germany.
                                                                                                                                                                             The motto of ZfdP is:
open-minded + liberal + progressive
This means, for example that all stallions registered in other recognized breeding associations within the EU are recognized by and registerable with the ZfdP.
There will be no discrimination against the origin of a horse or its colour.

GRADING INFORMATION

The Grading will take place at: "Forge House," Chequers Road, Noak Hill, Essex  RM3 7NA.    See Map/Directions

Although the UKA is a Knabstrupper focused association, the ZfdP holds books for a large number of breeds and any of these can be entered in the UK Grading as long as they have qualifying pedigrees.  Click here to see full list of Qualifying Breeds.

PRE-REQUESITES FOR HORSES TO BE GRADED WITH THE ZfdP:

Membership of the ZfdP will be a pre-requiste for all horses to be presented.  The ZfdP Membership Application Form can be found via the buttons at the top of the page, togethwer with details and costs and the Entry Form for the grading.

For 2007 the grading will be open to mares aged 3 and over at date of grading.   Pedigrees and passports will be required.  Stallions already graded with other eu societies can be presented but it is not planned that there will be any class for ungraded stallions this year.

There will be a class for youngstock to be presented for pre-grading inspection and foal registration if applicable with the ZfdP.  Branding will be available.

Please watch this page as information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

For any enquiries please EMAIL zfdpgrading@btinternet.com
